Ewa Beach’s New Country Club
Ernie Els designed a new golf course in Ewa Beach known as Hoakalei at Ka Makana. The signature 13th hole is a par 3 across water to an elevated green surrounded by deep bunkers. Hitting the ball short, left or long are not an option. This hole normally plays directly into the gut of the tradewinds.

The lengthy golf course playing to over 7,400 yards from the tips is a challenge like no other on the island. When the wind is blowing, the golf course will test even the most skilled player.
With water coming into paly on 11 of the 18 holes and 109 bunkers, you will need to bring your “A” game if you want to go low. The grass is seashore paspalum and dwarf paspalum which is a very durable grass for the salty air and can be watered with brackish water.
There are new homes being built on the golf course by developer, Haseko Homes. The future of the resort community is exciting as long as the plans all go through. It will feature shops, restaurants, a marina and hotel.
